Pamela’s qualifications 

Pamela achieved an honours degree in Education and taught at both primary and secondary levels before beginning her counselling career. A first counselling training led to her accreditation as an individual counsellor with the Association of Christian Counsellors (ACC). Pamela then specialised in couple therapy and is now an experienced Relate-certified counsellor. She holds a postgraduate diploma in Couple Therapy, and a Master of Arts degree in Couple Therapy, both validated by the University of East London. She is also a BACP-accredited counsellor and a UKRC-registered independent counsellor.

Works in the UK and abroad as a trainer, Life Coach and Counselling Supervisor

Pamela qualified as an Open College Network trainer in 2007 and writes and delivers courses in life skills, communication and conflict resolution skills, assertiveness, customer care and workplace-relevant skills. She has worked as a trainer both in the UK and abroad, particularly, Uganda.

Pamela has completed a diploma in Therapeutic Coaching and is also qualified as a registered Fusion Therapeutic Coach in 2012. She can help individuals identify their goals across all areas of life - work, money, health, relationships - identify their blocks to those goals and develop strategies for progress.

In 2015, Pamela completed a qualification through the Open College Network as a counselling supervisor and supervises casework with a relational focus for other counsellors.

As an individual member of both the ACC and the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP), Pamela is bound by their 'Ethical framework for good practice in counselling and psychotherapy' and subject to the Professional Conduct Procedure for the time being in force. This includes a requirement for all counselling to be subject to appropriate professional supervision that maintains client confidentiality.
